Introducing Your Concierge

Concordia recognizes that today’s graduate students face numerous complexities in weighing the many options associated with an advanced degree, including program and course evaluation, schedule selection and choosing the most appropriate financial support plan. To help you cope with these challenges, each student is assigned a personal “Concierge” to help manage these critical functions and ensure the success of their Concordia experience.

Nita Abraham, M.S.
Graduate Program Specialist

Nita provides comprehensive advising services to graduate students enrolled in Concordia’s cohort programs. She specializes in working with students that are pursuing a doctorate degree from Concordia. Nita also specializes in working with students in the Curriculum and Instruction, School Leadership, and Educational Technology programs. She enjoys helping students achieve their educational goals. Nita received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and has been with Concordia since August 2009.

Nubia Raygoza, M.Ed.
Graduate Program Specialist

Nubia Raygoza advices students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Teaching in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and Secondary Education. She advices students in the School Leadership, Reading and Curriculum and Instruction programs as well. One of her primary goals is to provide support for students as they successfully complete their programs. Nubia received her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and joined Concordia’s graduate advising team in 2010.

Carrie M. Rubenking, M.A.

Carrie has been at Concordia since 2003. She has served in Higher Education throughout her career. As an advisor, her main areas of focus are Educational Technology, Curriculum & Instruction and Master of Arts in Religion, Reading, Gerontology, and School Leadership. Carrie received her Master’s degree in Christian Education.

Alex Resendez, M.A.

Alex Resendez has a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Concordia University. Alex is both a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois. He has been an advisor to graduate students in the School Counseling, School Leadership, Reading and Curriculum & Instruction programs since 2008.

Rhoda Williams is a Graduate Program Specialist at Concordia University Chicago. She is an alumnus of Concordia University Chicago completing her Master’s degree in Community Counseling and Bachelors in Organization Management. Rhoda works with Reading, Gerontology, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Technology and School Leadership Programs. She has worked at Concordia since 2005.
