What is the difference between the MA in Leadership and the MBA program?

The MBA provides a broad foundation of functions such as economics, global management, accounting, managing human capital, finance, global marketing, entrepreneurship and ethics for those interested in leading in the global marketplace. The MA in Leadership focuses on leadership theory, research and analysis, and people skills. Students who complete the MA in Leadership graduate with the essential leadership toolkit to lead and develop others. Both the MA and MBA offer the opportunity to specialize.

Program Objectives

The Masters in Leadership Studies program is based on the conviction that servant leaders must learn to lead change so that services and deliverables are effectively, ethically and efficiently delivered to an increasingly diverse population, in the context of a changing economy and rapidly developing technologies. The graduate program in leadership studies focuses on the needs of practitioners by linking theory to the best practices of leadership.
