Concordia University Chicago and Dominican University are pleased to announce the eighth annual Gender and Women’s Studies conference, jointly co-sponsored by the Women’s and Gender Studies Programs of the two universities. This daylong conference will be held on Saturday March 19, 2016 on the campus of Dominican University, located at 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest, IL.
The conference will celebrate research and scholarship on women and gender; create community and solidarity between the two universities; and bring together students, faculty and staff in an environment where everyone teaches and everyone learns.
Proposals for papers and other conference presentations are invited from Concordia University Chicago and Dominican University students (undergraduate and graduate), alums, faculty, and staff. Please submit an abstract of a completed paper, artwork, or a work-in-progress which addresses gender or the study of women as a major theme. The submission deadline is February 26, 2016.
