41st Annual Reading Conference

Concordia University Chicago, in collaboration with the West Suburban Reading Council, invites you to the 41st Annual Reading Conference on Saturday, November 5, 2016. People from all over the Midwest have come together to share their expertise and to exchange ideas with colleagues.

Keynote Speaker - Dr. Camille Blachowicz, Ph.D.

Dr. Camille Blachowicz is professor emeritus at the National College of Education of National Louis University. Currently she is co-principal investigator of the Multifaceted Comprehensive Vocabulary Instruction Program. She is also co-director of The Reading Leadership Institute, a professional learning network of literacy staff developers housed at National Louis University.

Dr. Blachowicz was named to the roster of Outstanding Teacher Educators in Reading by the International Reading Association and is a member of the Reading Hall of Fame.


Professional Development Hours (4 PDHs) will be available for Illinois Teacher Certification renewal. Certified teachers in the recertification process need to submit evaluation forms online to receive an evidence of completion. After the conference, an evaluation link will be sent to the email you provided.


The pre-registration deadline is October 14.
