The College of Innovation and Professional Programs (CIPP) in collaboration with the College of Business (COB) at Concordia University Chicago are now offering three dual degree programs through the Accelerated Degree Program (ADP). Meeting demand from current ADP students wishing to continue their education by moving into a master’s degree program, the ADP department has developed three new dual degree programs. The Master’s in Business Administration; the MA, Leadership Studies; and the MA, Sports Leadership launched their inaugural cohorts in the summer of 2017.
Through careful planning and academic advising, students completing an ADP bachelor’s degree at Concordia University Chicago can move seamlessly into a masters’ degree program. Dual degrees are available to Concordia University Chicago ADP students who have completed their bachelor’s degrees in any of the following programs: Health Care Management, Organizational Management, and Sports and Recreation Management.
A dual degree offers a Concordia University Chicago ADP student a seamless transition into a master’s degree program. Because select courses in the master’s curriculum are waived, students benefit from a reduced tuition expense and may move more swiftly toward program completion.
“ADP has experienced continuous growth since our Associates and Bachelors programs in Organizational Management were first offered in 1990 because they are a path to degree completion for individuals who have previously interrupted their undergraduate education,” reports Tina Lilly, director of Admission for the department. “The addition of these new dual degree programs offers a great opportunity for our ADP students to continue their education at Concordia University Chicago and earn a graduate degree that will increase their competitive edge in the employment marketplace.”
