Concordia University Chicago is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Concordia-Chicago’s education programs received their first recognition by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in 1962 and the colleges in which they are housed have been continually accredited since that time. The recognition is a highly sought distinction of excellence granted to select few programs across the country that meet the national accrediting body’s highest and most rigorous standards for the preparation of educational leaders.
At the graduate level, recognized programs are the master of arts in curriculum and instruction (ESL endorsement), reading education, school leadership, teaching (secondary), and the doctorate in educational leadership.
The College of Business is a member of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and a candidate for the additional specialized accreditation by ACBSP.
