Alexander Brown

College of Business

Alexander Brown, MBA, PhD, LCSW has over twenty-five experience providing services and managing programs in nonprofit organizations. He is currently Interim Executive Director of a nonprofit organization that provides residential supported living to adults who are blind or visually impaired. He has also served as executive director for two other organizations that provide residential services and has managed community-based programs that serve older adults. Dr. Brown has a doctorate in clinical social work and a masters degree in business administration. He teaches graduate-level courses in human resources, marketing, financial management, and competitive strategy. He has also served as a nonprofit consultant for over 10 years and has served on the boards of directors of five nonprofits, including a professional trade association. He presents frequently to both professional and lay audiences on a wide range of topics related to both clinical and administrative matters.
