Sonia Toson received both her Juris Doctorate and her Master of Business Administration from American University in Washington, DC. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Georgia. Before beginning a career in academia, she spent 8 years in private practice specializing in Corporate, Real Estate and Construction Law, while also serving as the Human Resources Partner for the firm.
Professor Toson has been teaching in higher education at both the undergraduate and graduate level for over 8 years. She is an experienced professor of Business Law, Business Ethics, Real Estate Law, Employment Law, Construction Law and Negotiations.
Her research interests include the intersection between the law and corporate social responsibility, social entrepreneurship and sustainability, and the scholarship of teaching and learning legal studies.
