The Council for the Accreditation of Education Programs (CAEP) has provided national recognition to Concordia University Chicago for its Master of Arts in School Leadership – Principal Preparation, and for its Ed.D./Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership – District Leadership, Superintendent Preparation. This distinction places these programs in the top 2 percent of all graduate education programs nationally, rated for program quality and support of national standards.
Under CAEP standards, the university must ensure that degree candidates develop the knowledge and skills necessary to demonstrate positive impact on students’ learning and development. The university must prove that the program is selective in recruiting high-quality candidates who are prepared to teach effectively, and must support continuous improvement based on evaluation of the effectiveness of its graduates.
